| Dear Fellow Believer,
God has opened to us a great window of
opportunity in France. This will be International Cooperation first
project in this the largest country in Western Europe. God is
working in France and the churches there have renewed their vision.
The French believe in
enjoying life and are leaders in literature, art, sculpture, music,
cuisine, and architecture. Paris is the largest city in France and
is a major cultural center for the world.
The Romans invaded France about 200 BC.
Julius Caesar ruled France before the time of Christ. Germanic
tribes including the Franks, after whom the country was named, later
overran the country. The two major political parties in France
today are the socialist and communist parties.
More than ¾ of the
French population is Roman Catholic. Muslims and Jews make up a
small percentage of the population, with Protestant faiths holding only
about 2% of the population.
This will not be an
easy field to go into, but God did not commission us to go into the easy
fields but “into all the world.” Will you pray and be prepared
to respond to the Lord of the harvest if He calls you to go?
Join us as we go to France and see God at
work!
Your servant for Jesus,
Jerry Byrd, Western
Europe Area Coordinator
