Greetings from Liechtenstein!

We have just finished two very productive days of prayer walking in Liechtenstein. Day one was spent walking and praying around and in the capital of Vaduz where we focused on praying for the family of the ruling prince and for the national parliament. We also prayed specifically against the occult influences that are active in the region as well as for the youth of the country who are searching for hope, purpose and meaning for their lives. Much prayer was also directed at the lack of interest in Christianity, which is not seen as relevant for people's daily lives. Due to wealth, Liechtenstein has one of the highest per capita income levels in the world; people do not perceive a need for the God of the Bible even though many seek after New Age spirituality.

On the second day we hiked and prayed on some of the high places in this mountain country. The focus was for God to pour out His Holy Spirit on the believers in the country and to open unconventional doors for the Gospel. It will be interesting to see how this prayer is answered.

For this impact mission, we had people participating from many backgrounds and cultures. The countries represented were: Morocco, Columbia, Panama, Germany, Switzerland, Great Britain, and Taiwan. We had an age span from teens to a great-grandmother, a good mix of men and women, and many different church backgrounds (Baptist, Reformed, Pentecostal, Anglican, Lutheran, and Evangelical) that share Jesus in common.

For the local church, the take-aways were the following:

  1. Events such as this foster relationship building between churches and between church members who might not have much contact outside of church. Having people come from outside our local congregation was an encouragement to step out and act.
  2. A vision was created and shared among the participants for the believers in Liechtenstein and we believe that a foundation was laid for a future move of God in this country.
  3. This was also a very physical event that provided for some shared healthy activity, which created a positive environment for one to one interaction.

Today, day three, we joined a church service at one of the three very small Protestant churches that exist in this officially Catholic (state church) country of Liechtenstein. Our group made up one third of the congregation and we were happy to be able to attend a worship service in the country we were praying for. We will wrap up with a service this afternoon at 5:00 p.m. at the hosting church, International Bible Fellowship in Buchs, Switzerland. We are looking forward to answered prayers.

God bless you and thank you for your prayer support!
